Loading & Unloading Help in Midland, TX

How it works

You arrange the truck, trailer or container, and the movers come for a set number of hours to load or unload it. You drive; they lift, stack and secure.

Loading well

Good loading keeps things from shifting on the road. Heavy items go in first against the front wall, furniture is padded and strapped, and boxes are stacked tight with the heaviest at the bottom.

Bring the right gear

Moving blankets, straps and a hand truck make a big difference. Many crews bring their own; ask whether they're included or whether you need to rent them with the truck.

Portable containers

Containers are delivered to your driveway and picked up later. Check the container's size, any rules about where it can sit, and whether your street or homeowners' association needs permission first.

Unloading at the other end

If you're moving out of the area, you can book a separate crew at your destination to unload. Make sure the second crew knows what's coming and how many hours you'll need.

Timing

Hourly loading help is often available at shorter notice than full-service moves. Book a morning start in summer to avoid the hottest part of the day. Send a request and a moving company will get in touch.

Weight and balance

A rental truck handles best with weight spread evenly from side to side and the heaviest items low and toward the cab. Overloading the back of a trailer can make it sway at highway speed, which is worth remembering on the long stretches of I-20.
