Packing Services in Midland, TX

Full or partial packing

Full packing means the crew packs everything, usually the day before the move. Partial packing covers only certain rooms or items, such as the kitchen or fragile pieces, while you pack the rest yourself.

Boxes and materials

Movers use sturdy boxes in standard sizes, packing paper, bubble wrap, mattress bags, wardrobe boxes and dish packs. Using the right box for each item makes loading safer and faster and keeps things from crushing each other.

Fragile and valuable items

Glassware, mirrors, artwork, electronics and lamps need extra protection. Some items, like large mirrors or glass tabletops, may need custom crates. Point these out when you get your quote.

What movers won't pack

Most moving companies won't carry flammable or hazardous items such as propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosols and some cleaning products. Plan to use them up, give them away or dispose of them safely before moving day.

Labeling

Each box should be labeled with its room and a short description. Packers often number boxes and keep an inventory, which helps on the other end and with any claim.

Unpacking

Some movers offer unpacking too, placing items in cupboards and taking away the boxes and paper. It can save days of work after a long move. Send a request and a moving company will get in touch.

Packing the kitchen

The kitchen usually takes longest to pack because of the number of small, fragile items. Packers use dish packs with dividers, wrap each glass separately and keep heavy items like cast iron in small boxes so they're easy to lift.
